they played endless games (both kid and adult).

and we even cheered at horse races.
the best way to describe it? they gave generously to us. with their resources, with their time, with their love.

p.s. i just had to include this picture. i love it so much! i snapped this of the two of them walking hand in hand at churchill downs. i love that soph wanted to hold hallie's hand and walked that way for a while. but what makes this picture even more special is that sophia is wearing the dress that alaythia wore to michael and hallie's wedding. but can you see it? the dress is now a part of hallie's life at a different stage...and we couldn't be happier! :)

Um, okay, I think I'm seeing what you're referring to in that last statement/picture, but I don't want to type it just in case I'm completely misunderstanding.... But, yay for them! :)
