rocklin

our first stop, after our 16 hour day was papa and gg's in rocklin, california. we got in late and got settled and i must admit, being on the west coast felt good.

the next morning the cousins were reunited and it was such a sweet moment. caleb knocked on the door, isaiah and alaythia went running and screaming for the door. it opened, they locked their arms around each other and caleb proclaimed, 'it's been so long since i've seen you!' and that was all it took. their adventures were endless.

we really didn't need to leave papa and gg's. we had everything a kid could want. the pool (which we swam in almost every afternoon), a new play structure which we affectionately named 'papa gg park', and endless toys - both old and new. it was two weeks full of play, memories, play and more sweet memories in every combination possible.

hannah and sophia were two peas in a pod. now that hannah is walking
they had much more fun playing and exploring at their own pace.

even when we weren't IN the pool, it still provided tons of entertainment.

it took hannah a few days, but she finally warmed up to uncle matt.
he worked hard to get her to the point where he could hold her.

everything was an adventure, even cotton candy.

gg and soph getting some alone time in at 'papa gg park'.

the older cousins went to see cars 2 together. this was caleb's first
movie in a move theater.

papa made sophia her own bed poolside. we joked that she was at a
resort with such great service!

papa and isaiah rockin' the uniforms from isaiah's golf team. they took
daddy with them and golfed nine holes.

my grandparents drove to see us one afternoon. we had a great time visiting with them
and meeting their dog ella. this was their first time to meet sophia.

sophia became a pro at the slide at 'papa gg park'.

the rock wall was just for the big kids.

gg didn't hesitate to jump in with the kids at an indoor playground.
she even had war wounds to prove it!

the cousins...on the tramp. the boys spent hours and hours out here.

by the end of our weeks there, both kids were in the pool without
floaties. isaiah was even swimming from one side of the pool
to the other. amazing how much progress they made!

legos from when daddy was a kid. again, hour spent here creating and
playing together.
